SHARED STUDIO & WORKSPACE
FACILITY DETAILS
The Village at 1883 studio is located within the former Old Landmark Inn in the heart of Conestogo, Ontario. This heritage home is surrounded by nature, rich with history, and grounded in a peaceful atmosphere.
This landmark building has taken many forms over the years. Today, it is the home where we are raising our three children. The studio is an extension of our family living space and is thoughtfully integrated into our residence. Those who gather here do so within a shared home environment rooted in connection and community.
The interior studio space is approximately 1,300 square feet and features a vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses, wrap around windows, a large window wall overlooking the Conestogo river valley, exposed brick, and hardwood flooring. Two spacious decks extend from the studio levels, offering views of the surrounding landscape and creating a seamless indoor outdoor experience.
The lower level includes three bright offices and a common area with two restrooms, one of which includes a shower. These workspace areas are used flexibly within our home and are occasionally shared by scheduled arrangement with independent practitioners. Use is rotational in nature and no office space is exclusively or permanently assigned to outside occupancy. All shared use remains secondary to residential living.
This level also provides access to the lower deck and surrounding natural views, which are part of our private family environment.
The studio includes WiFi access, a portable Bluetooth speaker, adjustable lighting controls for warmth and brightness, and access to two restrooms. The building’s maximum occupancy is 45 people, although gatherings are typically small and scheduled in advance within a shared residential setting.
Use of the studio is intermittent and scheduled, and the property remains first and foremost our family home.
